Performing Arts School in Mansfield, New Youth Theatre Mansfield provides classes for kids from age 3 - 17.

Our drama school in Mansfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield helps the kids build confidence, stretch their imagination and gain essential life skills whilst learning the musical theatre skills, alongside making new friends and most importantly having fun!

New Youth Theatre believes that one staged theatre performance is worth 100 rehearsals that’s why all at New Youth Theatre Mansfield work hard to make sure the children perform a show per term.

Sessions are run on Saturdays at:-

St. Johns Old School Centre, St. John Street,Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. NG18 1QH  

Sessions are run on Thursdays at:-

Ashfield School, Sutton Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, NG17 8HP

Our Mansfield Performing Arts Classes consist of dancing, drama and singing classes.

We believe no other youth theatre offers the same unique opportunity so go one why not try NYT & star in your very own Theatre Production.

We offer a fantastic opportunity for young people to act dance and sing. Mansfield Sessions are on Saturdays and Kirkby-in-Ashfield Sessions are on Thursday.  All classes cover all the disciplines of theatre performance. New Youth Theatre also runs classes in West Bridgford and Bestwood Village.

New Youth Theatre Mansfield performing arts classes work towards a show that is to be performed at the end of each term.

Seniors 9 - 17

A three hour rehearsal period covering all the disciplines of theatre performance.  These rehearsals will result in a theatre performance at the end of each term. 

Juniors 6 - 12

A 2 hour rehearsal period covering all aspects of theatre performance.  These rehearsals will result in a theatre performance at the end of a term or two terms depending on the length of the production.

Tots 5 - 8

A fun based, action packed activity hour incorporating dance, singing & drama. Focusing on confidence building, working as a team & the basics of performing. Each term the tots will feature in a theatre performance.

Tiny Tots 3 - 5

30 fun filled minutes of music, movement & song carefully crafted to hold your little ones attention.  A little of their time will be spent preparing for your child’s magical NYT on stage… ! theatre experience.  Along with older children, they will have a unique chance to take part, have great fun and know that mum and dad will be watching too!

At Mansfield New Youth Theatre we bring musical theatre to local communities and have given thousands of young people across the region a unique experience of being onstage.  We also have sister schools in Lincoln, Grantham, Leicester, Nottingham and Newark.
