Reflect Productions' Performing Arts' School Wimbl

Performing Arts' For 3-17 year olds in Merton/Wimbledon

From Drama Clubs to Birthday Parties, Performing Arts' Programmes to Holiday Projects, we use The Arts to develop confidence, inspire and have fun!

Our classes provide the opportunity for children to build in confidence and develop self-esteem. Children are given regular opportunities to reflect on their own progress and abilities, to identify areas/skills that they would like to focus on and further develop. Our classes are great for offering naturally confident young people a creative outlet, as well as helping to increase confidence in those children who are more timid and shy..

Creativity also fosters mental growth in children and helps them to acknowledge and celebrate uniqueness and diversity. Imagination equips children to solve problems by helping them to think through different outcomes to various situations and enabling them to role play ways to cope with difficult or new circumstances.

Saturday Mornings

Our Performing Arts’ Programme runs in Merton Park on Saturday mornings for 3-17 year olds. Students take separate classes in all three disciplines of Performing Arts’; Acting, Singing and Dancing.

During acting classes students will work on text, improvisation, mime and performance techniques with professional practitioners, linked to the termly theme, culminating in an end of term performance for parents. Students also have the option to take part in annual LAMDA examinations.

3-6 year olds are invited to take LAMDA Communication Exams

7 – 17 year olds will enter appropriate levels in Acting exams

Students will work with professional singing teachers to focus on a variety of genres and styles of singing, ready for the end of term performances. Younger students will learn action songs and rhymes which help to develop memory and performance skills.

Students will work with professional dancers to examine different styles of dance and movement.

Students will have a 20 minute break during the morning session.

Timings: 10.30am - 1.30pm

Reflect uses various methods of teaching to encourage your child to achieve their full potential including drama-based games, vocal exercises, songs and dances in a fun environment to help boost your child’s confidence and ultimately their development. As a result there are many key differences in our approach:

Every Child Matters

Every child that attends one of Reflect Productions’ workshops will have their own areas to focus on and develop; whether this be a specific area of drama or simply just building up confidence whilst in a relaxed and fun environment. Reflect Productions’ staff will be aware of every child’s abilities and encourage them to develop.

Our classes are suitable for all abilities and a personalised programme is always developed to ensure we remain inclusive.

Consistency and Quality

Our classes are run by the same members of staff to ensure consistency for the children attending our programmes. As we are not a franchised business, all staff are trained directly by Kirsty to ensure that they are delivering classes to her high standards and using the Reflect Productions ethos.

End of Term Performances

At the end of each term, you will be invited to watch a live performance showcasing what your child has learnt.

All of our resources including scripts, song lyrics and choreography videos are placed on our YouTube page and student area page of our website for students to access from the comfort of their own home should they wish to practice during the week in between sessions.
