Each weekend, during term time, children and teenagers do an hour of singing classes, an hour of dance classes and an hour of drama classes, and the 4 - 6 year olds have three classes of 30 mins each.

Canterbury Performing Arts classes for kids help to develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation - as well as being educational and fun.

Our Performing Arts Classes are on Saturdays and Sundays.

Ages 6 - 18 years take 3 hour sessions on Saturdays at 10am or 2:30pm OR on Sundays at 10am

Ages 4 - 6 years take 90 minute sessions on Saturday or Sundays at 9:30am

The principle of Stagecoach Canterbury Performing Arts School is Alan Goodwin, who has a distinguished career in both education and the theatre.

With a teaching career of 29 years, during which he taught Drama and Theatre Arts and spent 16 years as the Deputy Headmaster of a large Secondary School, Alan decided to follow a second career in theatre.  Alan has also performed on stage, television for the BBC, and in many major theatres such as the Savoy.

Former pupils of his include Alison Moyet, Russell Brand, Martin Gore and Andrew Fletcher from Depeche Mode among many others.

Stagecoach Canterbury is more than just a stage school, theatre school or drama school. We are proud to offer a full and rounded education, teaching life skills to build confidence and stretch imaginations through Singing, Acting and Dance classes.

For children already doing drama in school, Stagecoach  Canterbury Performing Arts Classes complement the skills learned by improving diction, concentration and improvisation technique. For those not already involved with drama in schools, our drama classes in Canterbury are perfect for building confidence, introducing role play techniques and memorising scripts.
