Stagecoach Huddersfield has been providing  part-time training in singing, dancing and acting since 2005. At Stagecoach our Early Stages sessions are suitable for 4-6year olds and run for 90 minutes each week. These act as a gentle introduction to our main schools.

In the Main Schools children and teens aged 6-18years, learn to sing, dance and act on Saturdays during term time. Each session lasts three hours in total though classes are split into 60 minute sessions of each of the performing arts disciplines.

For children already doing drama in school, Stagecoach complements the skills learned by improving diction, concentration and improvisation technique. For those not already involved with drama in schools, our drama classes are perfect for building confidence, introducing role play techniques and memorising scripts.

Holiday Workshops

Although Stagecoach Huddersfield acting classes don't run during the school holidays, students can still get their acting, singing and dancing buzz from our theatre and dance workshops here at our school in Huddersfield.

Principal - Ruth Marston - BA hons

Ruth studied Performing Arts at Salford University who's past alumni include Peter Kay, Jason Manford and Emma Atkins.

Since then she has worked as an actor and performer both in the UK and abroad. She founded her own theatre company and also writes and directs. Alongside this she has taught for Stagecoach for over 10 years and has been Principal of Stagecoach Huddersfield for almost 6 years.

As a mum of two, she really believes in arts education and the important role Stagecoach can play in young people's lives.
